Northridge

Formerly known as North Los Angeles, Northridge is home to California State University, Northridge, a distinction that gives this LA neighborhood a vibrant college town feel. Around 40% of Northridge’s 62,000 residents are below 24 years old, infusing youthful energy into the community’s many coffee shops, brunch places, and pubs, as well as its performing arts center, art museums, and other attractions.

This low density neighborhood is also known as one of the most family-friendly communities in the metro. Conveniently located in the heart of the San Fernando Valley, Northridge is only less than 40 minutes to Downtown LA and Beverly Hills, and features Northridge Fashion Center, one of the region’s largest shopping centers.

Nearby Chatsworth Reservoir and Lake Balboa provide plenty of outdoor recreation, and the many top rated schools in the area offer excellent options for elementary and high school education.

Northridge real estate offers something for buyers and investors of all budgets and preferences. Homes here run the gamut from sprawling estates and newly built mansions to cozy condos and ranch style bungalows built in the 1950s.
